Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Star Wars The Force AwakensIf you haven’t seen this awesome sage returned to the giant screen, there’s still time, or now’s a great time to see the movie again.  The crowds are low so the experience will no doubt be a little quieter.

Star Wars offers several of the old characters as return stars, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill as well as many new ones with a return of the ageless battle in the stars.

Now that Star Wars belongs to Disney, the movies will go into rapid production with all the usual Disney flair. The next Star Wars adventure is already in the making.Hans Solo and Chewbacca

If you’ve visited WDW in Orlando Florida or Disney Land in California, you’ve probably bumped into several Star Wars characters and you’ve watched and participated in a Star Wars demonstration. So you can’t help but be aware that Disney is the owner. It won’t be long until the characters are present onboard Disney cruise ships if not already.

For many excited fans, having Star Wars back is a dream come true. We look forward to another generation of force driven battles in the galaxy.

May the force be with everyone.

The Dig in LyBeqt Goes Dry

I’m sitting at my desk after a lunch break at Grexenn Park. I love that area of Kinkorx; there is some of the most fantastic desert scenery to view while I eat my lunch and read the Desert News.

The Dig in LyBeqt

The Dig in LyBeqt

In the newspaper, there was an interesting article from The Kvyutt Travelers News in Meslerr Territory—via the news wire. In the small, remote town of LyBeqt, nothing has ever happened there worth talking about until one day a giant white sand deposit was discovered. Instantly the excavation began—as you might imagine. The project was named; The Dig.

The Dig has been operating successfully for some time now. The clean, white sand is packaged on sight and sold in stores in the wet lands.

Here’s an excerpt from my novel, The Unthinkable Duo Of Justice to better explain the sand problems on Sesla. You’ll notice what a cool fellow Maxx Zeqster is.

As he drove away from the giant drive-thru store, in the direction of his home, he turned his radio on again. Kinkorx Rocks began to play. He listened as the station played one of his favorite songs. As he listened to the song, he bobbed his head and tapped his hand to the rhythm of the beat. He continued the short drive home as he jammed.

When the song ended, “This is Myk LoBimm, Your Classic Rock News Editor, with a special news report on the history of the sand trade, the transportation laws, and sand trafficking.

Maxx listened intently as Myk LoBimm explained the history.

More Sand Dunes in Xcuymir Territory

“Sand – the Desert Territories have it – the Wet Lander’s need it. The wet land’s natural supply of sand is all but exhausted. White natural sand is abundant in the desert territories. Decades ago, in order to supplement the wet land’s depleting supply of natural sand, the sand trade began. Sand trading was once a thriving business between the desert territories and the wet lands. It benefited both cultures. Through the years, it was widely believed that the Qirdotz-Coteries from the wet lands were engaging in many forms of illegal activities while purchasing sand for their eggs from the desert territories. The Qirdotzs had money, and plenty of it. They were eager to spend their money on anything that pleased them, regardless of the local laws. This caused an alarming increase in many forms of organized crimes in the desert territories.

Desert territory citizens were becoming concerned. After much public outcry, it was determined that the increase in the general crime rate was more than the local authorities could handle. The local authorities felt the increase in crime was largely due to the Qirdotzs that came here from the wet lands to purchase sand.

Many years ago, in response to the increasing crime, the desert territory judges signed the transportation proposals into law. The transportation laws main goal was to reduce the increasing crime rate. The judges enacted these laws to prevent the Qirdotzs from entering the desert territories, purchasing their sand, and crossing back over the territory boundaries. The judges felt this would help to reduce the crime rate.

For a short time, the laws helped. Crime was down, and the citizens were happy. However, the wet lander’s increasing need for sand remained. Subsequently, rather than abating crime, the transportation laws caused a new type of illegal enterprise. Sand trafficking was born. After a short time, the sand runners emerged. Sand trading continued between the desert territories and the wet lands – illegally. This illegal sand trade caused the steady increase in many forms of crime to return.

It is believed that, Zerk Fexfeq, being the opportunistic business coterie that he is, allegedly seized the opportunity to profit from this illegal sand trafficking. This resulted in the emergence of Zerk Fexfeq, the alleged “The Sand King.”

Xcuymir Sheriff Department

Xcuymir Sheriff Department

Many local residents suspect that Zerk Fexfeq, the alleged “Sand King,” and his sand runners are operating illegally “under the nose” of Chief Morxoc and the Kinkorx Police, as well as the Xcuymir Sheriff Department. The authorities suspect that he has been smuggling sand for many years. The same residents believe he has become very wealthy by orchestrating the illegal sand trade. Zerk Fexfeq is an assumed problem that local authorities cannot get under control.

Chief Morxoc is continually attempting to gather enough strong evidence to build a solid case that will convict Zerk Fexfeq and his sand runners and put them in prison where they belong. So far, the perpetrators have successfully eluded the authorities.

Now more than ever, the Qirdotzs and the Zeplers, and any other coteries living in the wet lands, need white desert sand for the incubation of their eggs. Through the years, they continue to deplete their dwindling natural supply. They are at a critically low level of natural sand and their local supply is all but depleted…”

Maxx turned off his radio as he drove along Lypont Drive toward his home with his contained water, while still wearing his strolling suit. He quickly glanced at his clock. “I have just enough time to change into my newest Megvin Spesner III coordinating business suit with matching dress shoes and designer watch. I don’t want to present myself in my strolling attire. My cup of tea will have to wait until after the meeting.” He smiled. “My next professional opportunity will arrive soon.”

When The Dig began, we in the desert had high hopes the excavation project would put an end to the illegal sand trafficking problems once and for all. Now that it has apparently run dry, it looks like our crime rate will be on the rise again. We can only hope our local law enforce will rise to the challenge.

I don’t have to remind everyone how the Zerk Fexfeq, Chief Morxoc case turned out. Who solved that case? My friend Detective Maxx Zeqster—that’s who.

I will keep you informed as developments surface on this concerning issue in LyBeqt.

Until we talk again.

May good fortune guide your path,

Mustler and the “Gang of Five” on the Rampage Again!

Hi Everyone,

Greetings from Sesla. I’m in my office working on my sports column. The Horned Hares are still in “It’s the Rallies.” Everyone’s excited; we’ll see how far they go.

Sunny Day in Kinkorx

Sunny Day in Kinkorx

I talked to Maxx Zeqster yesterday. He’s working on another case. He’s been hired by a business executive in Wyluxx City—in the desert, to recover stolen items. The thing about Maxx and Art Nekuma, his partner, they will go anywhere or do anything to solve a case.

To the point, the beautiful sunshine is making my mind wonder a bit, there has been some alarming news over the news wire recently from the wet lands. It seems Mustler and the “Gang of Five” are pilfering again.

The “Gang of Five” as they have been named by the media are a super-intelligent gang of mutants. I’ve never seen a picture of them. There have been a few brief eye-witnesses mostly after dark so pictures have been impossible and testimonies are sketchy. The eyewitness accounts are goulash from The Wet Lands News.

Mustler – The Gang of Five Super-Intelligent Mutant from Qashlet Lab

Mustler – The Gang of Five Super-Intelligent Mutant from Qashlet Lab

One eyewitness, “The mutated creations have enlarged heads with only a few strands of hair and their deformed faces are large with uneven eyes and non-existent ears.

Another eyewitness, “Mustlers row of sharp bone in his mouth protruded sharply. His legs were crooked and stick-like. Large bumps protruded from both. The many leg veins were large and distorted just under the leathery-like skin. The large, mutated, wiggly veins were very prominent. Its feet were small and chunk-like. He looked like a little monster.”

Meslerr Territory Armory  the Gang of Five Plundered

The eyewitness accounts are very few. It seems this heinous group is extremely good at planning their attacks. If the wet lands authorities are looking for them in one location, they loot a bank, armory, etc somewhere else. The gang is continuing to build up an arsenal of cash, firearms, and explosives.

After plundering a business in the wet lands, killing everyone inside, lighting the building on fire, Mustler commonly writes on the wall in a victim’s blood, “I am taking over Sesla!”

It is widely believed this gang of super-genius mutants was created in Qashlet Lab by Dr. Rewqust; products of his evil gene code modification experiments gone bad.

The last time the Gang of Five were on a rampage the Joqzonions joined them. They seemingly ravaged at will and there was little the local law enforcement could do to stop them. General Sheriff of Meslerr Territory, Azar DyRull was left helpless.

Then one night that all ended, most of the Joqzon’s space ships were burned and the rest fled into the night sky leaving Mustler and his gang to fight alone. They went into hiding.

There was an eyewitness that reported seeing Detective Maxx Zeqster driving deep in the wet lands while towing a jeep on a trailer that same night. The witness reported it to The Kvyutt Travelers News.

I asked Maxx about that in an interview for the Kinkorx Desert News. Here is what he said regarding that night. “Yes J.A., the eye witness is correct. I was in the wet lands that night. I was working on a case that had nothing to do with the Gang of Five or Joqzons. It was so dark that night I didn’t see any smoke or any Joqzons—sorry.”

I asked, “What about the jeep and trailer?”

The Phoenix; that’s my all-terrain-camo jeep and HD trailer. It Rocks!” Maxx declared while grinning.

I laughed, “I’m sure it does.”

The Wet Lands in Meslerr Territory

Despite Maxx’s denial, because he confirmed the eyewitness, many people feel he and not local law enforcement was responsible for defeating the Joqzons that night and forcing Mustler and his gang into hiding. If that is true, it may be time again soon for Maxx to make another trip to the wet lands and don’t forget “The Phoenix”. He is the only one who is clever enough to outsmart Mustler; General Sheriff Azar DyRull was left helpless.

Also let’s hope the Joqzonions do not return. Those of us who are old enough remember how much devastation they caused in the wet lands the last time those space invaders attempted to take over Sesla for her precious minerals.

I will keep you posted on Mustler and the “Gang of Five’s” plundering in the wet lands.

Until we talk again.

May good fortune guide your path,

J.A. Ireland.

Here’s an excerpt from my book; Rydon Nekuma, the sailor and Pirtt-Coterie is ill and has admitted himself into the hospital at Tos-Xiron—the sea village on Sesla.

Morning; Thirteen Days Ago

Dr. Zewio entered Rydon Nekuma’s room. “How are you feeling?” he asked as he reviewed the charts.

Rydon painfully replied from his hospital bed, “A little better. Last night was scary. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.”

Dr. Zewio replied, “Your fever was very high last night. It is lower today. How is your rash? Let me have a look.” He rolled back Rydon’s blanket. “Your rash is a little better. It isn’t as red as was reported last night. It seems to cover both of your hands, arms, and much of your torso.” He paused to check the charts again. “How did you acquire doxer fever?” he asked.

Rydon was shocked as he stated, “That’s impossible! I don’t have doxer fever.” Suddenly he remembered the storm. “While being distracted by a storm and my financial concerns, I unloaded the fish and doxers from my boat without my gloves. The doxer’s ridged dorsal fins stabbed me several times on both of my hands. I didn’t even notice. I was so distracted,” he said as a panic began. He looked at Dr. Zewio with horror. “Am I going to mutate?” he asked as he trembled.

Dr. Zewio replied, “At this point, I couldn’t say. Doxer fever is a little different for each patient. When did you encounter the doxers?”

Rydon replied as he trembled from fear, “Maybe two weeks ago. I’m not really sure.”

Dr. Zewio was surprised as he replied, “Usually the doxer’s venom reacts much faster than that. With many victims, it’s instantaneous. Your symptoms are developing much slower than usual.”

Rydon replied as he trembled, “I had a small case of doxer fever once before. I only got a small rash. It was nothing.”

“That could explain it. You might have some resistance to the doxer’s venom,” he said with hope.

Rydon looked hopeful as well. “Do you think that will help? Do you think that will stop me from mutating?” he asked as he trembled.

Dr. Zewio responded, “Only time will tell. For now, I’m going to keep you one more day and continue with the medications that I have you on. Your symptoms should go into remission, at least for a while. Again, only time will tell.”

Terror gripped him as he said, “You mean, I’m going to be sick again?”

Dr. Zewio replied, “I’m afraid that’s the nature of doxer fever. The symptoms seem to repeat. We will get you feeling better and send you home.” He quickly exited the room.

Instantly, he recalled Lyndi’s doxer fever. He thought, “Her condition has slowly progressed to the point that she is in Dunjyn Asylum.” He was horrified. He began to imagine and fear the horrific possibilities of his mutations…

What kind of situation is Rydon in? What is doxer fever? Just how disgusting is a doxer fever asylum? Read my books and see.

My giveaway is in a few days. Stay tuned to my blogs and twitter for the exact day. Thanks for tuning in. J. A. Ireland.
